Dr. Dowling received his medical degree from the University of South Alabama and his undergraduate degree in chemistry from Lawrence
University in Appleton Wisconsin. His diagnostic radiology training was at the University of South Alabama in Mobile Alabama. Dr. Dowling performed his
fellowship in Interventional Radiology at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore Maryland. He remained on faculty at The Johns Hopkins Hospital for one year
as an Instructor of Radiology in the division of Interventional Radiology. Prior to joining our practice he was an associate professor of Radiology at Albany
Medical College and chief of the division of Interventional Radiology of the Vascular Institute of Albany Medical Center.
Dr. Dowling specializes in Interventional Radiology. He has special interest in endovascular repair of aortic aneurysms, carotid disease, peripheral vascular
disease, magnetic resonance angiography and computerized axial angiography, and uterine fibroid embolization.
Dr. Dowling is board certified in Diagnostic Radiology and holds a Certificate of Added Qualification in Interventional Radiology. He is also a Fellow of the
Society of Interventional Radiology.
